Photo Slideshow Exercise
Objective: Use the features of Javascript to make a photo slideshow.
Requirements:
- Use the features of Javascript and HTML discussed in class to create the entire site. You must use buttons for navigation.
- Create a logo in Photoshop for this site. This can be in conjunction with the iMovie exercise, so you may want to call this a "Multimedia Site" or something similar.
- Buttons that navigate between photos must fully function as rollovers.
- Bring in at least 10 of your own digital images (if you do not bring your own, I will provide some photos for you to use). You MUST optimize and size them properly in Photoshop BEFORE working on the site.
- Photos must have an animation effect. This is all in the Javascript code, but you may manipulate or change the animation.
- All photos must have a caption.
- This site will be more than just a simple slideshow. The point is to tell a story. You must to accompany the photos with a paragraph and at least one external link to appropriately cover the topic.
- Create the appropriate html page to insert your photo slideshow upload to the Web in your Project 4 directory. Include the date and e-mail on the page. You must also upload your images folder and javascript files.
- You must use a stylesheet to control typography and links, too. Save one to your new folder and make appropriate changes.
- Make sure the project is linked to your assignment page.
